The Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI), now operating under the amfori framework, is one of the world's leading supply chain social compliance programs. UCMD® voluntarily participated in a Full Monitoring audit — the most comprehensive audit type — conducted by SGS, one of the world's largest inspection and certification companies.

"Following the 2022 audit, UCMD® acknowledged the findings in PA6 (Working Hours) and PA5 (Social Insurance) and committed to a structured corrective action plan:

✦ Working Hours: Production planning processes reviewed and order intake controls implemented to ensure monthly overtime remains within the legal 36-hour limit.

✦ Social Insurance: Coverage review conducted to ensure all employees are enrolled in the full statutory social insurance package including retirement, medical, work injury, unemployment, and maternity insurance.

✦ Community Engagement: External grievance channel established to connect the factory with the broader local community as recommended by the auditor.

02 | International Product Certifications
Buyers supplying regulated markets — particularly the United States, the European Union, and Australia — require more than a supplier's word on product safety. UCMD® maintains an active, up-to-date certification portfolio for every product category, enabling our customers to sell with confidence across international markets.

ISO 9001:2015 — Quality Management System
Global standard for quality management systems. Third-party audited to confirm that UCMD®'s production processes, documentation, and quality controls meet internationally recognised requirements. Covers our entire manufacturing operation from raw material to finished product.

CE Marking — European Market Safety Compliance

Required for products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA). Confirms that UCMD® magnetic products meet EU health, safety, and environmental protection requirements. Applicable to our full range of educational toys, whiteboards, and magnetic accessories.

RoHS — Restriction of Hazardous Substances (EU Directive)

Compliance with EU Directive 2011/65/EU, which restricts the use of specific hazardous materials (lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, PBBs, PBDEs) in electrical and electronic equipment. All UCMD® products containing any electronic component are RoHS tested.

REACH — EU Chemical Safety Compliance

Compliance with the EU REACH Regulation (EC No 1907/2006) covering the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals. All materials used in UCMD® products are screened against the REACH SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) candidate list.

CPC — Children's Product Certificate — US Market Children's Product Compliance

Required under the US Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) for any children's product sold in the United States. UCMD®'s educational toy and magnetic puzzle lines carry valid CPC documentation backed by accredited third-party laboratory testing.

MSDS — Material Safety Data Sheets — Chemical Hazard Communication

Material Safety Data Sheets are maintained for all key raw materials used in production, including soft magnetic rubber compounds, adhesives, inks, and surface coatings. MSDS documentation is provided with every shipment upon buyer request — essential for import customs clearance and regulatory compliance in most markets.

On the environmental front, we manage waste streams from our printing and laminating processes responsibly, source materials from verified suppliers, and comply with REACH and RoHS chemical safety regulations across our full product portfolio.
